Jazzmine Raine To Help Kick Start The End of Illiteracy For Guatemalan Children

On September 9, 2009, she will join Eliana Cuevas for a concert benefiting the Access Education Guatemalan Children’s Fund.

TORONTO – HITSDUO Entertainment’s sixteen-year-old singing and song writing prodigy Jazzmine Raine has already used her talents to benefit various non-profit agencies.  On Wednesday, September 9, 2009, she will continue that challenge as she joins Eliana Cuevas for a concert benefiting the Access Education Guatemalan Children’s Fund.

Access Education Guatemalan Children's Fund is an organization that is committed to ending the 'cycle of hopelessness' the hallmark of illiteracy, by providing education for children who are unable to attend elementary school.

Proceeds from the event will benefit La Union, one of the poorest regions in Guatemala with a high rate of illiteracy.

The concert will begin at 7:00 pm at the Lula Lounge and will be followed by a silent auction at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $28 and may be purchased at the door or through the Access Education website at www.accesseducationpresents.eventbrite.com.

The Benefit Concert for the school and the children of La Union will feature Jazzmine Raine performing brand new songs specifically written for the night’s event.

HITSDUO Entertainment and Jazzmine Raine are proud to be a part of an event so altruistic.  “We hope our contribution will help make this event a huge success; but, more importantly help further literacy for the children of Guatemala,” commented Jonathan Ru, HITSDUO’S Vice President.
